Please fix the issue where lines that are horizontal/vertical in SketchUp appear oblique in LayOut.
It is mostly seen in detail drawings with short line segments, as shown in attached screenshot.
Please also notice the low segment count in the curve compared to the geometry from SketchUp.
Is there a known lower limit of line lengths that LayOut is able to handle?
I just created a version of what you show in your screen shot and inserted it in to LO 2026 with the viewport scaled to 1:2. This is what I see. No issue with an “oblique line” nor with a visibly segmented 12-sided arc. Once I get to a zoom level of around 2000% the segments almost become visible.
I’m quite puzzled that you haven’t encountered this before as it’s been an issue since I started using LayOut years back. This is simply a request for a fix
A cleaned up version of the drawing is attached including new screenshots from SketchUp and LayOut. Please use same scene as I did: “K.11_top detalje 2”.
I found a number of issues with your SketchUp model.
There is some stray geometry located at a long distance from the origin (relative to the size of the model) which can cause graphical issues. In addition there are a couple of short edge segments also at a great distance from the origin that need to be deleted. Hit Zoom Extents to see what happens because of the distance between the geometry in your model.
I removed the stray garbage and moved your model close to the origin to avoid those issues.
As for the the “oblique line” that is caused by some bad geometry in the model. Internal faces and some excess edges and faces in that rim around the perimeter. Again I cleaned up the model and that took care of that issue.
As for the curve, the geometry for the radiused edges of the object was all exploded so the curve is not seen as an arc or curve but rather a bunch of short segments. So SketchUp was displaying what you had modeled. I welded all of the weldable edges in that object and now LO displays the curve as a curve.
