I have been using Sketchup Make for many years as it suits my needs fine. My computer died a few weeks ago, and I was able to successfully install Version 15.1.106 on the new computer frow what I thought was my latest install file. However, over the years it must have updated to 17.2.2555 since I now get error messages that state I need version 17.2.2555 to open my files. I am not able to get my original license or serial number to access the downloads for older versions. How can I either get my original license number since that email no longer exists OR be able to load the upgrades to 17.2.2555?
There would be no license number for SketchUp Make 2017. You could upload your model files to the 3D Warehouse via your internet browser and then after they are processed, download the Collada version of the files and import their .dae files into SketchUp 2015. You’ll have to do all of that uploading and downloading through your browser since the 3D Warehouse hasn’t supported either of those versions for many years.
I expect you can find the SketchUp Make 2017 installer somewhere on the internet but it was removed from the SketchUp site almost a year ago. It’s a buyer beware sort of thing, though. Who knows what nasty bugs might come with it?
Another option that might work is an extension called Open Newer Version from the Extension Warehouse.
I honestly do not remember. I googled for “Sketchup Make 2017 install” and found a download on the second or third link. Search for sketchupmake-2017-2-2555-90782-en-x64.exe and you should find it, Sorry.
