# New to Web based Sketchup - where are the dynamic component options?

Until recently, I have been working on the free Sketchup desktop app. But I purchased Sketchup shop and have never worked in the web based program. Where do I edit dynamic components?? I can pull them in but cannot find how to edit them.

You **don’t**.

Dynamic Components are driven by a Trimble Ruby extension that ships with the desktop editions.  
The web editions do not yet have an API for extensions.

But the new **Live Components** may work with the web editions. You must search the 3D Warehouse for live components using a filter.
