I have been able to get around all the limitations of Sketchup, but have never figured out how to do this. I’m drawing a steam locomotive that will get 3D printed. The area where a smoke stack or dome contacts the boiler or smokebox should be rounded. It is not a constant radius.
You should be able to install the Sketchucation ExtensionStore tool from Sketchucation, which is required for license management, and then use it to install Curviloft and LibFreedo6.
That’s v10.9a, far from the current version of LibFredo6. As I showed in my screen shot Curviloft requires at least 14.3b. Install the current version.V16.1g is the latest.
Do you have the Sketchucation ExtensionStore installed, too?
Yes. There is a toolbar for Curviloft. It will appear if you have the current version of LibFredo6 installed.
And after that what do I do step by step? All the videos I watch either do not have any instructions or the guy giving the instructions doesn’t speak English.
I keep selecting all the edges (and that takes a while). Then I can either click the green or blue box. I try it either way and get a box that says “contours cannot be interpreted correctly. Empty the selection yes or no.” What does that mean?
And now everything I just selected I have to do all over again.
