Hello, this is my first 3d Drawing, I’m trying to make a waterslide descend from a platform into the pool, i have the shape and everything worked out, but i don’t know how to make it drop from the platform height to the pool water. HELP!
There is a bit of a trick you can use to make this work that involves exploded curves and welded edges.
When you Explode a curve the resulting follow me will have hard edges showing, which allows you to select and weld them, which makes it possible to move the end down and the rest will follow.
Note here I weld the path, which will remove the hard edges at the joints, and explode the curve to create the longitudinal hard edges. When I move the end I tap the up arrow to lock to the blue axis.
This is done using the desktop version but all of this is possible in the web version.
Im not sure what im doing wrong, but doesnt seem to allow me to “move” it down, only forwards and backwards from the face you selected.
Probably this.
Attach your model.
Download the model to your computer and drag and drop it into a reply.

Sorry, this is my first ever attempt, and im doing something out of my knowledge area LOL
It works for me. One point, your path isn’t horizontal, but that isn’t significant in this case.
Here it is done in the free web version, a bit clunky because I had to look for tools and Weld Edges is just off screen, but it works.
Yes there is an inherent issue with moving complex curves in this way, you may need to do it in sections to reduce the twisting.
In the desktop version there are extensions that help with this sort of shape, but extensions are unavailable in the web version.
Unfortunately I’ve run out of time to fiddle with it.
Good luck.
Thank you, you’ve been an amazing help, i think im 99% there now.
