Hello, my 60.7 MB .skp file and its 57.2 MB backup won’t open. SketchUp gives the error ‘File not found or incorrect’. I’ve been working on this for weeks and I’m hoping the header can be repaired. I tried to open sketchup 2026 and i get the same error, I opened your file on a hex editor and i see that it has a lot of data, if it´s recoverable probably only @colin could be the one to save it. But it´s not 100% sure.
By the way, Why are you still using sketchup 2021? Where you saving on an external device like a flash drive or on any cloud service and not on your local inyrtnal drive?
The computer I work on has version 2021, and I don’t really have any problems with it; I didn’t see much difference between it and the other versions.
I always save versions of my work in different places, but this time I was only saving it on a USB drive. Every time I added something to the model, I saved it to the USB drive. I don’t have any previous versions of my work:(
Hablas español? Hay una gran diferencia entre sketchup 2021 y las nuevas versiones, primero sketchup 2021 ya no tiene soporte, ninguna herramienta que necesite de acceso a internet funciona. Por lo general la gente que sigue usando sketchup 2021 es porque tiene una versión pirateada, es ese tu caso?
Y es una pésima idea trabajar desde una memoria externa, si revisas el foro hay cientos de personas que han perdido todo su trabajo del modo en que tú lo has perdido. Si tuvieses una licencia podrías tener acceso a Trimble Connect y hacer copias automáticas a los servidores de Trimble para tener una reserva en caso de que algo así ocurra.
