Multitply object in line with freeform

Hi! I am making a planter box in sketchup.
The plan is to use two steel strips and attach wood on this.
I have made the free form and a piece of wood but now i am wondering if there is a way to multiply the wood around the free form. I know you can multiply it in an straight line but is it also possible to do it in line with a object? Or do i have to do it piece by piece and turn it ?
