Mixing lines with arcs. How does it work?

I have seen in a couple of videos how the demonstrator is drawing with the line tool. A couple of segments are drawn and then, the next segment is an arc. The operator clicks the second point of a line segment and then returns over the drawn segment and it becomes an arc. Thereafter, straight line segments are added to the model.

I didn’t see a choice change from line tool to arc tool.

How is this possible?

You need to give us a link to the relevant video for us to be able to see what is happening.

The “demonstrator” is maybe using keyboard shortcuts..

I hope this clarifies what I am talking about.

As @tweenulzeven suggested he is simply changing tools with keyboard shortcuts.
L is the default for line and a is the default for 2 point arc.
Edit: the default for line used to be l but it appears not to have a default shortcut now, but you can set one.

Haven’t seen a Tyson’s video in a while. He’s got some great skills.
