What’s wrong with those forum timestamps?

When I - as an admin - move existing comments in a thread to a new thread, it shows that the thread was created more recently than the last comment…does that make sense? 
Because it honors the time stamp on the last comment as well as when I moved it to a newly created thread.
Yes, and it also explains why you do not show in the list of contributions.
