Method for creating Materials that include words, within Sketchup?

To make my planning process easier, I’ve created a library of PNG’s featuring the actual text of the various generic materials, that I use as Tag colors:

It makes it easy to see what’s what, without having to click on each item.

However, this requires an external application.

Is there any way to create materials within Sketchup, that would have repeating word patterns similar to this?

Something like Architextures, but for lettering?

This is how I’m doing it now - making a separate PNG with the wording, and applying it as the tag material.

I think you could do everything within sketchup by combining faces into a texture
