Recently I was unable to use materials. The menu would not show up or stay.
What do I do?

can you describe a little bit more what’s going on ?
when you press B, the material panel should pop up on screen, does it not ? if you have several screens, can you unplug them and try again ?
when you say 'it won’t stay", does it mean it closes immediately on its own, or are you moving it and it’s gone or…?
maybe, could you do a recording of your screen ?
