This is in SketchUp 2019 as indicated in your profile? Looks like the ordering is based on the English names for them. I wonder if translation to Italian comes after the folders are loaded. @colin, any thoughts?
no, there are several such menus (since years) that are in fact in alphabetical order in ENGLISH.

Stampa 3d would be 3d printing, numbers before letters.
I noticed it in french too, in several places. there were years where the preferences and model infos submenus were also like that, and years where they weren’t
I guess the sorting either comes before or after translation, resulting in this weird situation
right now (SU23), it looks all OK on mac.
on PC, there is the material list you mention. also, in layout, the preference menu is sorted in english. but in the document config one it’s fine.
