Hi I apply a wood material in a panel but the material is’n fit to the whole panel but in pieces Is there any extension for to fit in one icon to the panel?

Hi Kostas, you don’t need an extension for that. You can adjust materials in SketchUp since the beginning in 2000, I think..

A thing to consider is that resizing a texture that is too small for the surface may result in unwanted distortions. Some wood grain materials will look very strange if the material is enlarged to cover the entire surface in one tile. An alternative is to use texture images that cover an area as larger or larger than the face. I make wood grain materials from images of whole boards or sheets so I can avoid the tiling and oversized grain. In this example the original board was slightly larger than shown here but I cropped the image to this size.
Here that material is applied to the top of this table. The board wouldn’t have been wide enough to make the top in one piece so I divided the face in thirds with hidden edges. Then chose different sections of the texture for each face. Same sort of thing you’d have to do in the shop.
