I use a MX Ergo trackball mouse. Logitech are migrating drivers to new Options+. I have downloaded the driver but when I click on it all I get is a purple window with an incessantly revolving circle. Has anyone else experienced that?
I would like to test the new features that Options+ provides. But mainly I want to restore the mapping of the side buttons that I seem to have lost.
I did re-download the latest driver to make sure I was up to date. It is enabled in my login settings.
Have you tried contacting someone at Logitech Customer Support about this?
Yes. They admitted they had had problems with Mac users but claimed it had been resolved with the most up to date driver. They gave me a link to that but it turned out to be the very same one as I already had. So, naturally, the problem was still there. Somehow since I started all this, I have lost the mapping to the side buttons and the scroll wheel has stopped working. S I am actually going backwards!
Their authentication certificate expired, making options+ unable to connect securely to their servers. There is a patch update available today that fixes the problem.
I had to reinstall the updated app and is working now
