Login not working - {"message":"Gateway Timeout"} error

I try to login with my @liverpool.ac.uk account and get the following error

Please advise on what to do as I cant access sketchup at all.

Hi @matbarnes060,mthanks for the post. I went ahead and pinged all the servers and everything seems to be working on our end. Can you let me know the URL you are using to access SketchUp? Based on your profile info it looks like you are using the k-12 version but if I am wrong, feel free to correct me.

It used to be the case that i just signed in on trimble and that was it but now it takes me to my institution page to login in there also and that’s where i then get the error message.

The url it takes me https://eu.id.trimble.com/federation/saml/idpresponse

I’m using sketchup pro 2022. is there an update i can try to maybe resolve it?

@CaseyG I’ve just installed 2024 and i’m getting the same issue. it seems i cant logon to my trimble account online. It just keeps sending me to my institution login and then the error follows that. I can login into my institution account separately no problem.

Ah, SketchUp Pro is not my specialty but I’ll do my best to assist you. I would recommend opening a support ticket with us officially or if you purchased a license via a reseller to open a ticket with them so you can get official support.

Once you have that ticket open can you confirm that you can access your Trimble account via a browser like chrome or firefox? I just want to make sure that the issue is not account wide and is isolated to SketchUp Pro so we have a good starting point to work from.

If your company changed to use SAML, you need to contact tidfederations@trimble.com
