This were going so well, then I decided to remove a copyright notice from the Title Block for this project. I unlocked the layer and selected the copyright notice the move tool appeared, froze and LO crashes every single time. The model DOES have a ton of components, most of which I have used repeatedly with no issues. I am attaching a pared down file.

I don’t see any crashes on LayOut 21-25 versions with your email. Are you sending them in?
And it opened for me, no problem. You could try removing your cache file:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\SketchUp\SketchUp 2025\LayOut and remove the “working” folder.
Is LayOut really crashing or is it just showing Not Responding periodically? I’m not having any difficulty with your LO file but I see some potential issues with your SketchUp files that might cause problems. At least might result in LayOut being slow.
In the As Built file:

I notice the two plan view viewports are rendered as Hybrid. There’s really no point in that since there are no textures displayed. You might actucally find that Raster looks fine in the exported PDF. If not, Vector rendering will be better than Hybrid.
What are the extensions you use for the tags and purging?
Default Layer Geometry fixes incorrect tag usage. I use Purge All for purging because it gives that little report window showing how much has been purged but you can also do that from Model Info>Statistics>Purge Unused. Both extensions come from Sketchucation.

I use Medeek extensions that create a lot of tags, I try to keep them organized.
I use the Statistics tab in Model Info to purge.
I haven’t had many issues with LO that involved crashes. This just began a couple of days ago.

Thank you for responding. I ran both extensions, I’m usually pretty good at purging the bloat.
I still had the same problem with the layout file so I removed and reinstalled SU 2025 and it seems to have corrected the issue.
Thank you all for your help. This was a strange issue that I have not run across before. I uninstalled and reinstalled SU 2025 and that seems to have cured the problem. It was a crash, not a freeze. I would click on a viewport or text box and the Move tool would show up for about 10 seconds and then blip… gone.
