OK. So 90 viewports, each rendered as Hybrid. That will take some time for LayOut to go through and update and render them all. You could leave them all rendered as Raster while you are working and if you must have them rendered as Hybrid, save that until you are ready to do the export. I expect that you could probably leave all the viewports rendered as Raster for the export without any real loss of quality.
The majority of the viewports don’t need to be rendered as Hybrid even if you want vector line work since there are no visible textures. Vector is a little faster than Hybrid.
I note that you’ve modified the Camera properties for a number of the perspective views in LO. That can create more work for you later. Better to use the scene’s Camera properties and avoid modifying them in LayOut. If you don’t have an appropriate scene in the model, make it.
You also have a number of materials that could be simple colors. They don’t need to be textures which add bloat to the model. Replacing those materials with simple colors would also speed up rendering. An example is the color on this cabinet.
Although not related to the rendering times in the LO file, I note that your logo image on the page is 2 cm wide but the image you are using wants to be almost 17 cm wide. This just causes unneeded file bloat. There’s no benefit to having such a large image file.
FWIW, After doing the cleanup and saving the SketchUp file I relinked the reference in LayOut so it would update all of the viewports. Then I went to the kitchen to fill my coffee cup and come back and the updating was complete. this is in LO 2025. I did not change the textures to colors, though.
Incorrect tag usage = I know… It is a shared file and not everyone in my team does it properly. How can I clean it or see it ?(I do it one by one when I see it)
Camera properties : yes indeed I did sometimes directly in Layout… I did not know it will slow down the file I will next time as I don’t want to go again through all my SKP file..
Textures instead of colors : OK I will do it for this cabinet. Same how do you see that this specific material is heavy ?
Raster vs Hybrid : Do I need to go page by page (1 have more than a 100) to switch it to raster ? Or is there a way to do it for all ? Plus to turn in high resolution pdf file, I just need to tick the button in Properties of document / Exportation resolution = High resolution for Images
Sounds like a good excuse for some education. Using tags incorrectly can result in a load of extra work which costs time and money.
I use TIG’s Default Layer Geometry from Sketchucation because it’s very fast and gives the nice little report. CleanUp3 from the Extension Warehouse can also fix this.
I didn’t mean to imply that would slow down the file. Overriding the Camera properties in LayOut can create more work for you since a change to the Camera for the scene in the model will be ignored. If the Camera gets reset (accidentally?) that can create issues, especially if you have labels and/or dimensions linked to the model. Basically there’s a strong possibility that you will need to invest more time and effort than you would if you just made the appropriate scene in SketchUp.
I use Material Resizer from the Extension Warehouse. It shows the dimensions of the texture images in pixels. For most textures you probably don’t need anything larger than 1024 pixels, especially when the texture is small.
Yes. You would have to select each viewport and change it. If you change to Raster there should be little wait time before it updates.
I would start by trying the Medium quality for Viewport output. You may find that actually results in adequate quality. If not, select High for the export. Be aware that the PDF file size will be larger. It might result in a file size that is too large to email if you need to do that.

I do know !! I repeat it each time… But spend time today correcting a few of them…
OK I need to have a look at these 2.
Yes indeed, was a bad read of mine !!
OK same, I have to have probably to download it as seems very usefull
Pity there is not the option to change them all
OK well noted, I know better understand the difference of viewports / images ! I am French so I did not get the subtlety between the 2 terms ! Now I get it Thanks
And above all thanks a lot for your kind help & time - as usual
Good luck. Hopefully you can make them see that a cleaner workflow is better for them. It might seem more difficult at first but it more than repays the effort as projects progress.
Understood. The key to this, of course, is to prevent the need to go through 90 viewports to deal with this. Leave the first viewport rendered as Raster so when you copy and paste, the new viewport is also rendered as Raster. Only change those that must be rendered differently but wait to make the change until you’ve seen an initial PDF export.
