I have this issue with Layout 26 version when I am making scaled drawings. I can’t see length of X-vector in measurements box because length of Y-vector takes too much space (showing 0,000000 mm) in measurements box and first digits of X-vector are out of the “area”.
Does this happen to others too or is it something with my settings, this issue is the same with two different computers I use to my work and Is there any solution so I could see lengths fully.
My units precision is set at 0,1 mm and format is Decimal / millimeter.
In layout 25 version I don’t have this issue and all the numbers are visible even if I try to make lines going longer than my screen allows.
The behavior seems to be the same in 2025. A Google search, and reading @DaveR replies in the forum, suggest that the Dimension Style precision overrides the Document Setup… units precision, but when I play with that I can’t convince dimension style to stay on the precision I wanted.
I’m not sure whether that would even affect the measurement box. Dave may know a way around the problem, or @trent will know.
I don’t think I’ve ever indicated that Dimension Style precision overrides Units in Document Setup.
The Length Units set in Document Setup do not have anything to do with the Dimension Tool. They only affect paper space measurements such as border widths, paper sizes, LO drawing display, and Move distances.
The Dimension Tool settings only impact displayed dimensions placed with the Dimension Tool. In order to get the Dimension tool to continue to display dimensions with the desired precision as you place new dimensions, you need to either select the Dimension Tool and make the desired Precision setting in Dimension Style or get the Dimension tool, then the pipette, and sample an existing dimension that has already got the desired Precision set. The units and precision set in Dimension Style have absolutely nothing to do with Units in Document Setup.
