Layout exporting watermark in scene incorrectly

Can you share the LO file?

I just set up a quick test and got the following.

The exported PDF:

72 Two Lights Road.layout (8.4 MB) Sullivan Residence.skp (1.5 MB)

Interesting. I was wondering if it had something to do with the style for the scene not being updated but that wasn’t it. I also wondered if it would be different in LO2020. It’s not. I get the same result with your file that you show when exporting at the high quality setting. I get the expected result with the medium quality setting, though.

I tried my sample file at high quality and got the same result I showed previously. I wonder if it has anything to do with the watermark image being tiled/stretched.

This seems like a good one for @adam to look at.

What do you get with output quality set to Medium and can you get by with that for now?

By the way. I really like the way your model looks with the textures in black and white

The medium setting worked. I think its OK for viewing on a monitor. I’ll run some test prints later to see if there is a drop in print quality. Thank you for your help!!!

I’m glad it worked.

Another thought came to mind. Could you edit your watermark image to make a longer aspect one to use for the watermark so you don’t need to use the Tiled setting? It looks to me as if it’s a combination of the tiled watermark image and the high quality setting. I think that qualifies as a bug in LO and although it should be fixed, it clearly won’t change in LO2018 and it’s present in LO2020 currently. If you eliminate the tiling part of it, I would anticipate that you would be able to use the High quality output.

Thanks: I got the textures from this model in the 3d warehouse: image its easy to add a little gray to the textures for a little more contrast
