# Layout Dimension Tool Not Working

Hi All,

The dimension tool just today has started playing up. It won’t create correct linear dimensions as shown in the attached screen recording.  
I’m not sure if I’ve selected a wrong setting or something else.  
Any advice would be appreciated.

My guess is your sketchup model scene is not set to a standard view(top) and parallel projection.
