Layout 2026, lots of good new features BUT some nasty/annoying bugs. Getting a lot of crashes also..
- Export to PDF - will crash if there is information off the white area. I hide notes, diagrams here, or sometimes part of CAD file over shoot the page. PDF export will fail (Not everytime) but in most cases. Removing the off page stuff helps. Sill get crashes at export.
- Export PDF page range has a bug which prevents exporting certain pages. Export All page 1-3. go to range type 3 only wont allow me.
- Text - still lots of issues with text, White text turns black when you edit it with lots of fonts. (No good on black background. Slow to edit large amounts of text, no fine manipulation of cursor, seems really slow - almost like a delay.
- Really annoying same font looks different and wont alter. One looks bold but isnt..
- Text moves during saving and re opening. Also affects scrap books (Changes position, size, font or bounded box size.
- Copy and paste, issue with copying, fails or copy’s multiple copies for no reason.
- Select all, select individual doesn’t work correctly. Drag left to right should select all. It doesn’t always.
- Hangs at times when deleting items - feels slow.
- Copy move (ctrl after pressing m) will only copy once, no hold for multiple copies- have to repress after each copy. (Not a bug per se but annoying.)
- Perspective view turning on for no apparent reason.. Or Sketch up view ports don’t scale correctly when expanded even though scale locked.
This may be user error but changing line colour seems painful, select line press fill chose colour. Colour not applied. Something isn’t intuitive here. Also the ability to drag and drop a colour into the Line, or fill colour has gone.
And finally not a bug but PLEASE PLEASE can we have find area of object drawn in layout or imported cad files..
