Similarly, for forms like Create Component, one should be able to hit Return to submit the form (or at least tab to the Create button — which I think I can do but there is no visual active element indicator).
What machine and keyboard do you have? I haven’t tried it to check, but if done right, there can be a difference with a dialog box between Return and Enter. Return might create a new line of text, while Enter should execute the default button (Create button here). Not having an Enter key on a MacBook Pro keyboard, you have to hit fn + return to do it. If you have a full size keyboard, you have a dedicated Enter key.
I’m on a Macbook Air (i.e. return key). For the Create Component issue, I’ve tried all sorts of combinations (e.g. ctrl, cmd, shift etc.) with the return key including with fn but nothing seems to work.
I believe there was a version of SU 26.1.252 that had a known issue for the dialog box not getting the focus correct. My work around was a single tap of the TAB key moved focus to enter. After the SU update that issue was fixed in 26.2.243
I go between several devices and sometimes use the web version. I think Trimble keeps the Web App up to date automatically. I noticed this issue on the desktop version and thought my work around might help you until the real fix is discovered.
I just got a reminder what dialog box that was: The dialog to report what you were doing when SU crashed. You can type text into the note field including returns for new lines, and then fn+return serves as enter and submits the report.
