Issue with hybrid visualization TOO inaccurate

In version 26, on mac, I witness an issue

In “hybrid” mode, colors are blurred and tied towards the edges.

I tried to overcame the issue, using “vector” mode, imposing an “hybrid” output. Obviously, no texture was visible on screeen.

BUT… no texture was printed as well…

SO:

  • either I see blurred colors on screeen and print correctly,
  • or I don’t experience any blurring and I get uncorrect output

Thank you

Vector rendering doesn’t display raster images. If you want vector linework and raster textures you must use Hybrid. You can set the Display and Output Resolution to High if you need to see better quality than you get with Medium. Keep in mind that setting Display Resolution to High will make your graphics card work harder and may result in lagging as you are working on your project.

This is the difference I see between Medium and High OutPut Resolution on my machine. In both cases I’ve enlarged the PDF to 400% which is a little extreme. Click on the images to see them full sized.

And - what you see on screen might look not so nice if you have the quality set to low, but have high quality set for export… I do 80% of my work in Raster, and use the overide to Hybrid on export for the remainder of the work.

Thanks for your answer, but…

the issue is that “substitution in output” DOES NOT work:

While in vector mode, even if the option is checked, textures are not printed.

(sorry for screenshot in italian)

That feature only works on Raster rendered viewports. If you’ve already rendered viewports as Vector they are ignored for rendering during export.

Please update your profile. It shows you are still using SketchUp 2020 on an old version of Mac OS which clearly isn’t the case.
