Issue in Layout 2026 with Relink Image Reference

I just switched from Layout 25 to 26 and love the new interface. Unfortunately, one feature I use a lot - Relink Image Reference - seems to have an issue.

In 2025 I could select an image, right click on it and select Relink Image Reference - a window would pop-up shwing a folder, I would pick the relevant image and Layout would replace. Perfect.

Now, same procedure but now the folder, although containing the correct image in the same format (jpeg),would appear empty.

I used the Document Setup/References and did the same but here, Layout “sees” the image in the folder.

If I do the same in 2025, Layout works perfectly.

Any idea what could cause this?

Same thing if the extension is .jpg instead of .jpeg?

Yes, but I found a previous similar post and @paddyclown found a work-around: when the window opens, instead of the previous file name, type *.* and the images now appears and links fine…

Glad it works this way but sure hope that will be fixed in the next updates. Thanks @DaveR for the fast response though!

I’m glad you have a work around. I only ever use .png images in LO and haven’t run into this issue.

humm… interesting, after reading your response, I tried with a png and same issue: the folder appears empty. But glad it works for you

UPDATE: just update Sketchup to Version 26.1.189 and Layout issue is now gone!
