Is there a way of pulling an angled surface parallel with the axis?

Forgive me if I am phrasing that wrong. I’m looking for a best method or practice for getting surface A to surface B without the result I am showing in C.

  1. Use the select tool to preselect only the mitered angled face of A by clicking on it.
  2. Use the move tool to move that face. Snap to one of the 4 points of that miter.
  3. Inference the red axis to move it directly vertically up to the other mitered surfaces.
  4. Snap to the other common point of the mate’s miter. It will stretch the adjacent faces with.
