There has GOT to be an easier method of doing this, similar to the “Face Cutter” extension (sadly discontinued) - cutting through multiple objects at once.
For example, I have a window that spans a wall composed of 3 layers (siding, wall structure, interior wall cladding:
I would like to cut through all 3 objects at the same time - like the yellow cube in this concept shot:
Can’t use boolean tools, because it’s not a solid. And even if I drop in a primitive cube and resize it to the internal frame of the window + stretch it past the wall - boolean doesn’t always work if the wall object is not solid.
Can’t use Intersect Faces, because it just creates a bunch of extra edges that don’t actually cut through the 3 objects I need them to cut.
Is there a method where the yellow cube would punch out anything it intersects? Regardless of whether it’s a solid or not, grouped or not, etc?
