Installation Issues - Sketchup 2024 Install Fails on New PC

Hello All,

I recently purchased a new PC (iBUYPOWER Desktop, Intel Core i7-14700F - 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, 8GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060)

I have had SketchUp 2023 and 2024 installed on my laptop (Lenovo i7) for 2 years, no issues. I purchased this new desktop a month ago, and have been trying to get SketchUp installed, to no avail.

The installation for Sketchup 2024 fails (both with the small 400MB executable, and the large offline 1.1GB executable) at the same point everyrtime. I have disabled my antivirus (AVG) and firewall, I have run it as administrator, I have shutdown and restarted my PC.

Crawling through the InstallShield logs only shows that it fails somewhere around the “checking licenses”, but without Sketchup Installed, I don’t reach the point of being able to login and validate my license? Or is this a red herring?

I am at a loss at this point. Any help appreciated

Are you right clicking and selecting “Run as administrator”?

Yes, I’ve tried running as admin, same issue
