I’m on a Mac, dont know if Win can import pdf’s directly.

You’d need to be working on a Mac to do that. Windows doesn’t support PDFs for import. Mac does.

You can make a screenshot of the PDF and save it as a .png or .jpg file and insert that into LayOut.
