Inability to access my perpetual 2018 license

I purchased a perpetual licens for Sketchup 2018.

I co-created the AEC application for AutoDesk Inc.
and have been using Sketchup since it’s inception.

When Sketchup went to subscription, I decided to not participate.
I have an extensive library of Sketchup Models that I need to access.
And expample is a prototype I created at: Unity WebGL Player | Microflow_APTEST

For some reason, all copies of Sketchup.exe files (DLLs remain) have been removed by someone from my system.

I was sent a copy of my active license for 2018.
When I try to load it, it says I am not on Internet, which is not correct.
Then it tells me that my license is not valid even though it was sent to me by a Sketchup Customer Service person.

So, I am no longer able to access my perpetual license.even though I fould a copy in my backup files.

Meahwhile I am now using Blender and Unity 3D which is a far superior set of applications. In fact Sketchup suddenly stopped being able to be transfered into Unity 3D which is a big problem for serious developers.

So, I am not sure why Sketchup refuses to let me access my perpetual license. And I am unpleasantly surprised that a Sketchup employee would give me a copy of my license that Sketchup now says “does not exist” …

I was just wondering if anybody else is experiencing denied access to their perpetual licence and if any group is assembling to do anything about it. I would be interested in joining such efforts as I don’t believe previously loyal customers of Sketchup should be treated this way. I enjoyed the use of Sketchup in the past until they became relatively less functional for development work.

I do not see any log in (or other current) issues shown here:

Musing about anti-virus quarantining ... (collapsed)

That smells like a quarantining by an AV. Any problems with other applications?

The web browser built into SU became outdated and lacked the tech to access secure sites.
This Q (or similar) pops up regularly here, there is a workaround, a simple search for similar would have saved you the effort of typing all the above.

Here’s the official answer from 2021 (took me all of 30s to find): SketchUp (desktop version) thinks you don't have an Internet connection

2017 and earlier versions do have the issues you mentioned, and currently have no way to remove or add a license.

2018 will work, you need to do the changes I wrote about in the link that Paul gave.

No issues with any other software on my system …
More importantly, why is the license given to me by a Sketchup employee showing as non-existent.
Time for someone to get a grip …

Never mind my musings, Colin has posted the solution (long ago.)

“long ago” … Guess I should slap myself in the face … But thanks for the ultimate update … Meanwhile on to better software …

Dan and Colin,
Thanks … Seems to have worked.
