Import STL - where does it go?

Hey guys,

I must be doing something stupid. I have the STL extension. I am trying to import an STL file.

I click Import, import my STL file, then I see “Import done” flash at the bottom of the screen. But no file opens. What am I doing wrong? How do I open the file?

Hard to tell without seeing the STL. What happens if you click Zoom Extents after importing it?

And STL files do not have a specific way to specify units, so you need to know what the units that the model is in, and tell the importer via the import options dialog. (On the import dialog, before clicking “Import”, click the “Options…” button and set the import units, and possibly other options.)
