Hi all,
this is a common situation for me and I wonder if there is a better way:
Often, I want to import a logo to do a 3D extrusion.
(Usually you can find free .eps files on the internet for famous brands)
I open it in illustrator, export it as .dwg and import it to sketchup.
the problem is that it’s just outlines and it takes a lot of time to make them filled surfaces so that they can be extruded.
Does anybody know any method to import vector files as filled surfaces?
Have you tried Generate Faces by Fredo6 (it automatically creates faces)?
or with Eneroth Face Creator
