I saved sketchup 3D model as perspective view (non ortho) and also updated scene. When I try to scale it in layout it automatically turns on ortho and distorts my 3D model. I’ve had this happen a few other times on other 3D models. What is causing ortho to turn on?
You can’t scale a Perspective view. Scale is only suitable for Parallel Projection views. When you do try to add a scale the viewport has to be changed to an Ortho view. Are you just trying to change the size of the model on the paper?
Yes! And I think you gave me the answer I needed! That makes sense.
If all you want is to change the size of the model on the page, drag the sides or corners of the viewport as needed. As long as Preserve Scale is not checked the model will resize. DO NOT double click into the viewport to zoom or otherwise modify the camera properties.
