For my drawing I downloaded a staircase from the Warehouse. However this turned out to be an Ifc model. when i want to render my drawing the staircase appears in a different place and very large. This happens in Twinmotion but also in Enscape. is there a way to undo the Ifc data of this model?
Can you at least share the description or something for the staircase so we can see what it is you’re working with?
Are you still using SketchUp 2020 as your profile shows?
I am now using Sketchup 2025. But Sketchup 2020 gives the same result. On the screenshot you see the model in question. Every part is an Ifc part. I think because it contains Ifc data this is why it goes wrong when rendering. That is why I was wondering can you convert this model back to a normal Sketchup model.
Fix your forum profile.
I don’t know why you couldn’t provide the description of the staircase so we could easily find it and check it out.
An easy way to remove the IFC attributes would be to explode the group and remake it.
Exploding didn’t work. The ifc data remained in there. I will upload the model in question tonight.
You must not have exploded the right objects.
You could use Eneroth De-DC-ify to remove attributes.
I’m going to try that! I’ll let you know if it worked.
Hmmm … Ya’ know, it would be nice if SketchUp would show the scaling of instances in Entity Info when they are selected.
