I was working on a file till morning. i saved it and closed my pc 1 hour ago. than i opened it 1 min ago and now i cant use sketchup. everytime i open my file, i get Crash #137008. What can i do
It’s in graphics - you could try setting graphics back to classic and see if the file will open. If you can work in classic, fine. If not, resave, close the model, and set to new graphics engine and retry.

i can work with classic but its just so slow. cant i make it fast? also thx for your answer.
Usually when a file is slow, it’s due to bloat from overly detailed components and/or excessively large texture files. Share the .skp file so we can see what you are working with and what might be done to improve performance.
file is so large that i cant upload it but yes it has some detailed components. its a 4 floor apartment model with interiors.
So upload it to DropBox or We Transfer and share the link.
OK. So the first thing you could do is turn off Profiles and update the style. That will improve performance.
You should also move your model closer to the origin.
I went through my usual cleanup procedure. First I fixed incorrect tag usage. All edges and faces in your models should be created and remain untagged.
Next I purged unused content. I think you win the June Hoarder of the Month award.

I also reduced some of the overly large texture files of those that remained after purging. They also are impacting performance with no benefit.
The cleanup I did improved the way your model behaves on my computer. It also reduced the file size by 92%!
If you don’t need the objects floating out away from your model, get rid of them and purge unused components and materials.
You could also go through the components you’ve collected from the 3D Warehouse. For example, do you really need the racks, broiler element, and fans in the oven? If they add something important to your story that’s fine. If they don’t, you’re “paying” for features you don’t need.
BTW, I would suggest turning off Length Snapping in Model Info>Units as that can hinder accurate modleing.
According to Colin and some tests I’ve made, the profile edges don’t affect performance if you’re using the new graphics engine. The other things that Dave pointed out are affecting the performance of your machine.
yes, it’s been so since the early beta.
but according to orcaneylul they are now running classic engine and it’s not crashing anymore
