is this forum set up to send me an email if someone responds to my Q’s
i have had responses… but no email (or spam)
i have to manually check the forum to see if any responses have occured.
…and yes… my email address is correct in my profile…

There are checkboxes in your preferences page to set what kind of notifications you want to receive. Click on your profile icon at upper right of the screen and then select Preferences from the drop down. These settings are some distance down the page, so scroll to see them.
