# How to revert color palette to original flat 2D swatches?

The over-stylised 3D blocks in the new Color Palette display makes it difficult to identify and distinguish colours, opacity, and textures.

How can I switch it off and revert to the original 2D flat swatch display of colours, textures and materials?

Copy the **Materials** folder from:

`C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2024\SketchUp`

and paste it into:

`C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2025\SketchUp`

However, since you’re using a Mac, I’m not sure where your folders are located. But once you find them, the method should be the same—just copy and paste.
