How to drape vines on curve

does anyone know how i would drape these vines on this curve so i can hang them along the top of my opening with a flowy look

If you want to match a specific arc then the extension ShapeBender is probably best for this. For this extension to work your group or component to bend must be aligned along the red axis in the direction you want to bend. So rotate your plants to sit along the red axis in the direction you want to bend. Then you will need a straight line and the arc you wish to match (ShapeBender also can bend to compound curves)

You could also do a quick job of this with TrueBend which fast and can be precise by degrees but does not match a given arc.

Or since these plants are an organic, chaotic shape you could just kludge it by selecting clumps and rotating them into something like the arc you want. Use arrow keys to lock the rotate tool to a given axis. Quick and dirty and really not bad.

Another way to do it could be to use the PathCopy extension. Make sure to check the Component(s) axis first as that is what PathCopy uses to align to the Path - in this case, the curve. You can repeat the step with multiple plant components, just vary the spacing to make it appear more random.
