How to Chamfer edges?

Good morning. I am trying to chamfer a few edges for a bed frame. I have downloaded the BEVEL tool and have been messing around with that. I can round the edges etc but cant seem to figure out how to chamfer the edges? I attached a screen shot of the frame I am working on and a reference pic of a bed frame with a chamfer edge. I am sure I am just missing something? I am continuing to try to figure it out. In the mean time I hope someone can lend a hand. Thanks alot!

start bevelling and look ad the VCB (the dimension box). you’ll see 2 numbers, one is the radius, the other one the amount of sides.

if you set it to 1 side, then you get a chamfer.

Thanks! I still cant seem to get it? This is what I get. I tried to do it in 5 diff pieces as well. I know I am just doing something wrong ARG!

Make the shape using follow me?

So you want the thing split into its individual components? I’d model the entire thing with Follow Me and then split out the sections. And since the curved section and right leg are symmetrical to the left hand counterparts, I would use Flip to copy the left ones to the right.
