How long will my Extensions take to pass the review?

Hello,

I submitted an extension named ‘Bottle OBJ Importer’ on December 3rd, but I haven’t received any updates even though a week has passed.

This approval is urgent due to a pending business collaboration. Could you please let me know how long the approval process typically takes?

Thank you.

I’ll ping the advocate for you: @CraigTrickett

Or the very bottom of this page: Home | Get Started With Extension Development

You will find the “Contact Developer Support” pointing you to an-E-Mail address of support.

Thank you for the ping. Looking at the system it appears that the team reviewed this extension yesterday and you should have confirmation on their decision via email. Please let me know if you haven’t received those details

Your extension is live here:

In testing the extension I tried this file, and the materials came in black, and also some faces were reversed.

Could you try this file, and see if you get the same issues?

Turbine4.obj (6.8 MB)

This is how the model imports on my end. To check if the materials load correctly, I also need the .mtl and texture files. OBJ files generally come as a set: the .obj, .mtl, and texture images.

Also, I opened the turbine in Blender, and it seems the flipped faces are actually inverted in the original model itself. They appear flipped in Blender as well.

It takes twice as long to import on my Windows laptop than my Mac, but it does come in looking correct.

Do you have a way to test on Mac?

So it’s faster on Mac than Windows? That’s surprising. Unfortunately, I don’t have a Mac, so I’ve only tested it on Windows.

(Wondering) Does your extension wrap the import within a undo operation?

From my experience this is something the Extensibility Team would comment on.

Yes, I’ve tested it, and the undo works with Ctrl+Z. Also, fortunately, the extension has been approved!
