How I'm using SketchUp for Nonprofit

Coworker - “Can you make a drawing for a new foam insert?”

It was a first, but glad it turned out nicely.

Any automation to cutting the foam, or is it something like print full scale and then trace the template?

They mainly needed the STL file of the model to use with a foam cutting machine, but I also made an accompanying PDF with dimensions in LO for clarity.

What a great idea. Love it.

First attempt at rebar modeling with Profile Builder 4. More to come.

A quick video comparison - the new plastic photoreal materials for PVC pipes are neat. I think I’ll enjoy giving my piping models with galvanized, cast iron, brass, and HDPE pipes a makeover too.

Great comparison. It really highlights the changes. and useful as this will better show different materials being used.

I’m finding myself getting hypnotized by the reflections, and then I realize I’ve been orbiting my models for 15 minutes…

Can’t believe it’s SketchUp; R*vit users must be feeling pretty jealous now :smirk:

Indeed

I’m tempted to change the name of this thread to Coworker Requests:

“Can you draw a Ufer ground detail?”
…work in progress (not an electrician)
