Hello everyone,
I am currently working on the plans for my house and unfortunately I can’t manage to open the .skp file.
As a beginner, I spent hours and hours on it and I’m really disappointed. Is there any way to recover it?
Thank you for your help.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZHf4hchvTGCvzbaPD8qRrT7GUgKrAn3H/view?usp=drive_link
You need to provide access to the file!
Can you try again ?
It opens ok for me here - it’s a pretty large file.
Are you doing it the Desktop version of SketchUp?
Yes, installed on my computer
I’ve purged the file and resaved it - try that
Same result; could this be due to a lack of CPU (i3) or graphics resources?
Possibly , your intel UHD graphics card is fairly basic- or maybe there is something wrong the installation or another computer fault.
Visit app.sketchup.com and see if you can open it in the web browser
App.sketchup works fine. I’ll clean up my model, save it, and then open it locally or reinstall SketchUp. Thanks so much for your help!
If you use the Material Resizer from the Extension Warehouse you will be able to get the file size down further. By resizing all materials to nothing greater than 512px I got your file down to 74MB
Great, it works! A big thanks to both of you.
