Example:
User has selected multiple objects.
I’m working on a command that can transform them individually or as a group.
I could made two tollbar buttons, I could ask via input box.
But I’d rather be able to detect if user is holding down the shift key as he clicks on button.
Don’t see a way to do this. Maybe should be a feature request for the API?
No way that I know of to do it directly in SketchUp. I’ve wanted this myself a few times.
As Jim says, we don’t currently have that. I could file a feature request for it, but it doesn’t feel very discoverable - doesn’t even follow convention with the native tools. How many applications have special behaviour for Shift+Click or Ctrl+Click on toolbars?
Having two button for two different commands sound more appropriate IMO.
