Help reducing file size

Hi! I’m having issues opening my file in Enscape. I was thinking maybe reducing my file size might help but I have no idea how to do it. Can anyone be able to explain to me how can I do it? I tried uploading my file here but its way too heavy to even do that (360 KB). I already purged unused materials, components, and tags.

Do you mean 360 Mb? 360 Kb is tiny.

Upload the file to DropBox and share the link. Maybe we can give you some ideas.

Are you still using SketchUp 2024?

Sorry, I meant 360,000 KB. I’m using now SketchUp 2025. Here is the link: Dropbox

Please update your profile while I’m looking at your SketchUp file.

Here’s what found as I went through my standard cleanup steps.

Incorrect tag usage–fixed.

Purged unused. Lots of unused materials.

Of the remaining materials, a number of excessively large textures.

I reduced the file size of the largest ones. Unless your model’s “story” is all about a few books, I would replace those textures from the book covers with simple colors. There are some other objects that don’t really need textures.

Another thing that is contributing to the poor performance is your decision to make a group of each tile on the floor. Over 10,000 groups for each of the red and yellow tiles not to mention the other tiles in the building.

You should use a texture for the tiles instead.

I didn’t change the tiles but my other cleanup reduced the file size by almost 25%. Streamlining the tiles would reduce this further and perhaps give you a chance to do the rendering.
