Has anyone connected SketchUp models with healthcare compliance workflows?

Hi everyone,

I’m exploring how SketchUp can be used beyond basic facility design to support ongoing documentation and compliance workflows in healthcare environments.

For hospitals and other healthcare facilities, it can be useful to keep floor plans, equipment locations, inspection records, permits, drawings, and other facility documentation organized around specific areas of a building.

I’m curious whether anyone here has experimented with connecting SketchUp models to an external facility management or healthcare compliance software platform through an API or custom workflow.

For example, a SketchUp model could potentially help identify a specific room or facility area, while the external system stores related inspections, compliance records, drawings, and maintenance documentation.

We’ve been looking at CRxCompliance, which provides healthcare compliance software, as one example of this type of workflow. I’d be interested to hear how others are handling the connection between 3D models and facility compliance documentation.

Has anyone built something similar using the SketchUp API, Ruby, extensions, or another integration approach?
