Who can I contact to get a personal data processing agreement and carry out an information security classification that we need to do as Sketchup for schools now requires login to use? We have schools in Stockholm, Sweden that uses and want to use SketchUp for schools. But we also need to make sure that we have the right agrements so that you legaly can handle our schools personal information.
@CaseyG can ask the team who the right person is.
@LindaEngman I want to make sure that we’re on the same page here. SketchUp for Schools has always required a login to use, but it supports login with both Google and Microsoft Education, meaning that you and your students would use the same accounts that support your other school work and do not need to create an account with us. Is this what you’re referring to, or is it possible you’re using SketchUp Free which does require a Trimble account?
Hi Tori!
The schools use the education version of your product.
So if they log in with microsoft, you do not store any information regarding the user?
/Linda
That’s correct Linda, we don’t! The benefit to using their school accounts is that their personal information stays with them. The only information we collect/store is general usage data about the product (think things like how long a modelling session lasts), but none of it is tied to a unique individual.
Thank you Tori!
So it safe to use SketchUp for education/SketchUp for schools due to that you don’t handle any personal data related to our users.
Do you know if it is the same regarding SkethUp PRO?
//Linda
Hmm, all of our other suppliers that uses Microsoft as a log in handles namne and email as a minimum regardning personalinformation. So what is the purpose of the log in funktion in SketchUp for schools if you are not able to identify the person that is logging in?
