I do Furniture Design mainly and so I make all the individual pieces ( legs, sides etc) as individual pieces so I can produce a BOM. When I group them all together to make the end item, then turn that into a main component to use in a room. I quite often end up with all the minor component listed separately or they all turn it one big group. What am I doing wrong.
Perhaps you could upload a sample .SKP file showing a model exhibiting the problematic structure, or a screen-shot of the Outliner window with the various groups and components expanded?
