I’ve never had this happen before but there’s a ghost post in my model. I can’t click into the group either. I did make it, but when I made it it dissapeared. Odd!

There was a bug that could cause the bounds of a group to be offset from the visible contents, making it extremely difficult to select. But that was fixed a couple of versions ago, so it’s not likely that’s your issue.
I’d suspect bad tag usage. But, as @jean_lemire_1 requested, please share your model here so we can investigate.
There is a little bad tag usage but not specific to this. There’s a weird group there. The object that is visible can’t be selected directly but it seems to have an alter ego way off in the distance that can be.
That sounds a lot like the bug I mentioned. Perhaps there is still a way to trigger it?
Yeah. I don’t know how it was triggered, though. Once I figured out how to select the object and delete it the ghost was exorcised.
