Are you sending the Bug Splat reports in with yout name and email address? Maybe @colin can look them up.
I do see the bugsplats you sent in, thanks. There have been two updates to SketchUp since the one you are using. It would be worth getting the latest one from here:

What are your display settings? Like, resolution and scaling factor.
Another question. If there is an SKP that when you open it, SketchUp crashes, try opening the SKB of the same model. You can do that by changing the file type in the open dialog to be * . * instead of * . skp.
Display Resolution 2880x1800 (recommended)
Scale 200% (recommended)
SKB files crash too.
Someone seeing a similar crash was getting it at 4k but not at 2560x1440. Could you try that resolution?
I don’t know if it has changed, but traditionally SketchUp supports only 150%
Apparently, this is fixing the issue, the bad thing about it, is my font size and icons are much harder to see 
, i will see how it runs the next few days, but i do hope that with an update fix in the future i can revert to my original 200% scale, everything was working fine till just recently. Thank you all so much for your help!
For your case, do you get crashes at 2880x1800 200%, but don’t get crashes at 2880x1800 150%?
