Where were you saving it while working on it? Do you have the .skb backup file?
Your forum profile says you have a “Classic License” for SketchUp 2024. Does that mean you are using a cr acked version of SketchUp?

What version of SketchUp are you actually using? You put 2017 Make in your forum profile and seem to indicate SketchUp 2014 in your post but the file wasn’t saved either version.
It will open just fine in SketchUp 2025.
I see incorrect tag/layer usage. I fixed that here.

I used Default Tag Geometry and Purge All both are extensions from Sketchucation. You can purge unused content via Model Info>Statitistics>Purge Unused. I use the plugin because it gives the nce report of how much has been removed.
Presumably you have a current subscription so you can update at no additional charge. Please correct your forum profile, too.
Time to update to SketchUp 2025.
Once you get it open you should take some time to clean up the file and move things closer to the origin. As it is you’ve got it spread out over almost 7 Km.

It’s much too easy to go to sketchup.com, download SU2025 kit, install it, and open the file. That way he has the opportunity to see that he can then open it with SU2023, without having to save it back.

The file opens with SketchUp 2025 with no error messages. If your profile is correct, you should update to v.2025.
