There are a couple things that are required to make follow me work. First, the face you are extruding has to be perpendicular to the path where it starts. Second, the path and the face have to be in the same group. Am I correct all? Other requirements to make it work? I frequently have to fuss with it to make work. Pat ---

It is possible to select a path outside of the group containing the profile, the get Follow Me and open the group for editing via the Context menu and run the tool. > [@kcpilotpat](#): > > Other requirements to make it work? To make it work correctly the path needs to be placed correctly and the geometry needs to be large enough to avoid fall foul of the tiny face thing. And of course, as in the OP’s case, you actually need to select the Follow Me tool instead of Offset. He’s a new user and has that sorted out, anyway.
